Last updated: 26 August 2026
Resurge Digital Pty Ltd (ABN 40 633 712 302) (“Resurge Digital”, “we”, “us”, “our”) provides digital marketing services, including search engine optimisation and paid advertising management, to businesses in Australia.
This policy explains what personal information we collect, why we collect it, who we share it with, and how you can access it, correct it or make a complaint. We handle personal information in accordance with the Australian Privacy Principles set out in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).
What we collect
Information you give us
When you submit the contact form on our website, we collect your name, email address, phone number and whatever you write in your message. If you contact us by phone or email, we collect the information you provide in that conversation.
If you become a client, we collect the business and contact information needed to deliver our services and administer the engagement, including billing details.
Information collected automatically
When you visit our website we collect technical information about your visit, including your IP address, device and browser type, the pages you view, how you arrived at the site, and how you interact with it. This is collected using cookies and similar technologies.
Specifically, our website uses:
- Google Tag Manager — manages the tracking tools listed below.
- Google Analytics 4 — measures website traffic and how visitors use the site, including when a form is submitted or a phone number or email address is clicked.
- Google Ads conversion tracking — measures the performance of our advertising.
- Meta Pixel — measures the performance of our advertising on Facebook and Instagram, and may be used to show you our ads on those platforms.
- Microsoft Clarity — records how visitors move through the site, including mouse movement, scrolling and clicks, and produces session recordings and heatmaps. These recordings are used to understand how the site is used and improve it.
- WildJar — call tracking. This may display a different phone number to different visitors so we can identify which marketing activity led to a call, and records call details such as the number dialled, the time and duration of the call, and its source.
- Clixtell — click fraud detection. Collects technical information about visitors arriving from our advertising, including IP address, device details and click behaviour, in order to identify and block fraudulent or automated clicks.
Information we handle for clients
In the course of delivering services, we access and work with data held in our clients’ own advertising, analytics and website platforms. This may include information about our clients’ own customers and enquirers. We access this data only to deliver services to that client, under their authorisation, and we do not use it for any other purpose.
Why we collect it
We collect and use personal information to:
- respond to your enquiry and communicate with you
- provide, manage and improve our services
- measure and improve the performance of our own marketing and our clients’ marketing
- detect and prevent fraudulent advertising clicks
- issue invoices and manage accounts
- meet our legal and record-keeping obligations
We do not sell personal information.
Cookies and how to opt out
Our website uses cookies and similar technologies for the purposes described above. We do not currently display a cookie consent banner, and these technologies operate across the site.
You can control cookies through your browser settings, including blocking or deleting them. Doing so may affect how parts of the site work. You can also opt out of Google Analytics using Google’s browser add-on, and adjust your advertising preferences in your Google and Meta account settings.
Who we share it with
We share personal information with service providers who help us operate our business and deliver our services. These fall into the following categories:
- Advertising and analytics platforms — including Google (Google Ads, Google Analytics, Google Search Console), Meta and Microsoft.
- Marketing performance and reporting tools — including Agency Analytics, WildJar and Clixtell.
- Business systems — including Microsoft 365 for email and file storage, Accelo for project and client management, PandaDoc for proposals and agreements, and, where a client’s own systems require it, Google Workspace.
- Website hosting and infrastructure providers.
- Professional advisers, and others where required or authorised by law.
We share only what those providers need in order to perform their function.
Where your information is held and accessed
Personal information we hold is stored in Australia and in the United States, depending on the provider. Most of the platforms listed above are operated by companies based in the United States and store data on infrastructure located there or in other countries.
Our team includes personnel located in Australia and Japan. Personnel in Japan access our systems remotely in the course of their work. Information is not stored in Japan.
We take reasonable steps to ensure that anyone who handles personal information on our behalf protects it appropriately.
Google Ads API
Resurge Digital accesses Google Ads data through the Google Ads API. This access is used solely to deliver advertising management and reporting services to the client whose account the data belongs to, and only where that client has authorised us to manage their account.
Data obtained through the Google Ads API is not sold, transferred or made available to any third party, is not used for advertising purposes of our own, and is not combined with data from other clients. Access is limited to authorised Resurge Digital personnel. Data obtained through the API is used for keyword research, campaign management and client reporting, and for no other purpose.
Security
We take reasonable steps to protect personal information from misuse, loss, and unauthorised access, modification or disclosure. These include restricting access to staff who need it, using access controls and multi-factor authentication on our business systems, and holding credentials in a password manager rather than in files or documents.
No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
How long we keep it
We keep personal information for as long as we need it for the purpose it was collected, and for as long as we are required to keep it to meet our legal, tax and record-keeping obligations. Business and financial records are generally retained for seven years. When information is no longer needed, we take reasonable steps to destroy or de-identify it.
Accessing or correcting your information
You can ask us for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, and ask us to correct it if it is wrong or out of date. Contact us using the details below.
We will respond within a reasonable period. There is no charge for making a request. If we refuse a request, we will tell you why in writing.
Complaints
If you believe we have mishandled your personal information, contact us using the details below. Complaints are handled by our Managing Director.
We will acknowledge your complaint and aim to resolve it promptly. If you are not satisfied with our response, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
